Since 2014, the advisory board for culture at Karolinska Institutet has served as an advisory body to the university president. The members of the advisory board have managed, developed and brought to life the place of culture at KI – highlighting what unites science with artistic expressions such as art, music, dance and literature.

The Master’s Programme in Toxicology has consistently high and stable completion rates, with the highest proportion of students graduating among all programmes at KI. Teaching methods that promote student centred learning, together with a cohesive faculty team that works continuously on long term educational development, contribute to students successfully completing their studies.

There is a water leak from the ceiling in the Banting lunchroom in the Administration Building, where melting snow has caused water to penetrate through the roof.

Tahnee Marquardt is an advisor in Clinicum’s network and works as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Compliance & Data Office at Karolinska Institutet. Tahnee provides support in areas such as REDCap, ethical issues, and the registration of clinical studies and trials.

Professor Tore Midtvedt, Oslo, passed away on December 2nd at the age of 91. He is mourned by his wife Kari, his sons Karsten, Per and Öyvind with their families, as well as a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.

The University Library (KIB) has been asked by the president to lead the process and develop a unified cultural program at KI. The decision follows a review of cultural activities during the fall of 2024 and spring of 2025, in which the report confirms the importance of culture for KI as a whole, highlights the need for a clearer organizational home, and emphasizes the importance of increased student engagement in cultural activities.

Starting 8 December, it will no longer be possible to upload new videos to My Media and Media Gallery. You will still be able to view your videos via My Media and Media Gallery in your Canvas course. To continue working with educational videos and audio files in Canvas, please use Canvas Studio going forward.
