At KI, we use a lot of energy every day (electricity, heating, cooling and steam). Ahead of holidays and long weekends, when the premises are used less than usual, it is a good opportunity to avoid unnecessary electricity consumption. In 2025, dental educators from Uganda and Zimbabwe visited Dentmed. During the visit, Jonas Erdenborg and Michelle Lau met with colleagues from the dental education programme in Zimbabwe and provided information about the dental hygienist programme at Karolinska Institutet, as well as the importance of preventive care in dentistry. The dental hygienist profession exists in Zimbabwe, but the number of practitioners is limited.
