New analysis tool in VIS

VIS is based on the Qlikview tool, which will be replaced by Qliksense. To ensure that KI continues to have a stable and developable business information system, the migration of VIS to the new platform is now beginning. All VIS users will be affected to a greater or lesser extent, including researchers and managers.

What will change?

All existing applications in our business information system VIS will be migrated to the new platform, including Funding view (Forskarvy).

The benefits of the change include lower and more predictable licence costs, improved opportunities to create reports and analyses, and a more modern and user-friendly interface.

Timetable and implementation

The work will be carried out from the beginning of 2026 to the third quarter of 2027. Each application will be migrated in stages, with testing and dialogue in reference groups prior to launch, as well as introductions and training for the groups concerned.

Who is affected?

All VIS users will be affected to some extent. This includes HR staff, administrators, coordinators, economists, administrators, researchers, research group leaders, directors of studies, postgraduate education staff, heads of department and managers. The changes vary depending on the application, but the aim is to make the interfaces as familiar as possible.

You can read more about the project on the staff portal under the VIS page in Support and Tools. Affected groups will receive ongoing information when it is their turn to migrate.
