Power outage in large parts of Flemingsberg on the night of Monday 23 March
On the night of 23-24 March, Vattenfall will carry out a planned power outage. Several buildings will be affected, including Flemingsbergs centrum, Neo, TAH and Novumhusen, and will be without power for approximately five hours.
The outage will last from Monday 23 March at approximately 23:00 to Tuesday 24 March at approximately 04:00. According to the information KI has received, ANA8 or the hospital will not be affected by the outage.
KI was informed about the outage on Wednesday 18 March, and despite the short notice, there was no possibility of stopping or postponing the planned work. Work to prevent and minimize problems has been ongoing since yesterday, including by ensuring that backup power has been tested and is ready to be put into operation.
The work ahead involves:
- continued preparation and damage reduction
- assessment of possible increased patrols or personnel support
- contact with Hemsö and Vattenfall
- dialogue with the operations about resources, as well as any compensation from Vattenfall for costs arising as a result of the outage
- information to affected institutions.
