Anna Norrby-Teglund to become Acting Head of Department at MedH

As of 1 July, Anna Norrby-Teglund will take on the position of Acting Head of Department at the Department of Medicine, Huddinge, until a permanent Head of Department is appointed.
With Petter Höglund assuming the role of Dean of Research on 1 July 2026, he will leave his position as Head of the Department of Medicine, Huddinge (MedH). From 1 July, until a new Head of Department is appointed, Anna Norrby-Teglund will serve as Acting Head of Department at MedH.
Anna Norrby-Teglund is a Professor of Medical Microbial Pathogenesis and the Unit Head at one of the department’s five units, the Centre for Infectious Medicine. She has been a Deputy Head of Department at MedH since 2013 and is a member of the department’s management team. She now looks forward to taking on the role of Acting Head of Department.

Appointment of a new Head of Department
The process of appointing a new Head of Department at MedH will begin shortly. It is an extensive process in which the views of the department’s employees will be taken into consideration. A new Head of Department is expected to take up the position at the beginning of 2027.
