Anna Norrby-Teglund to become acting head of department at MedH

As of 1 July, Anna Norrby-Teglund will take on the position of acting head of department at the Department of Medicine, Huddinge, until a permanent head of department is appointed.
With Petter Höglund assuming the role of dean of research on 1 July 2026, he will leave his position as head of the Department of Medicine, Huddinge (MedH). From 1 July, until a new head of department is appointed, Anna Norrby-Teglund will serve as acting head of department at MedH.
Anna Norrby-Teglund is a professor of medical microbial pathogenesis and the unit head at one of the department’s five units, the Centre for Infectious Medicine. She has been a deputy head of department at MedH since 2013 and is a member of the department’s management team. She now looks forward to taking on the role of acting head of department.

Appointment of a new head of department
The process of appointing a new head of department at MedH will begin shortly. It is an extensive process in which the views of the department’s employees will be taken into consideration. A new head of department is expected to take up the position at the beginning of 2027.
