On May 17th, 2022, the evacuation alarm in Neo will sound with full sirens/alarms - please save the date and make sure you can participate in this potentially life-saving exercise!

During the weekend 14th to 15th of May there will be ventilation work and a power shutdown in Neo. It is recommended that no lab work should be done during the weekend and computer and equipment sensitive to electrical disturbances should if possible be turned off.

MEB has introduced a new cost allocation model for costs relating to workspace, IT and KI library access.

KI has problems with burglaries and thefts, which sometimes increase in number. We therefore want to remind you what we as employees and students can think of, to prevent burglary, vandalism and theft.

On Monday, January 24, work began with blasting out railway tunnels and platform spaces for the new metro station in Hagastaden.

This work will be noticed by us, on campus Solna.

On February 15th there will be work done on the sprinkler system and on February 17th there will be work done on the fire alarm system and there will therefore be an increased risk of false alarms in Neo.

On Wednesday 2 February between about 18:00-20:00, you will not be able to access your home directory (H:). Note! Do not save anything in My Documents or on the Desktop during this time, choose OneDrive instead. This is due to planned system maintenance. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Due to technical problems, it is currently not possible to log in to the Avonova portal. Troubleshooting is ongoing.

From week 49 until week 4, the roof of Gammelgården will be exchanged.

The maintenance work takes place in Neo and causes disruptions to the fixed and wireless network, such as KI-Staff, eduroam, KI-Guest. The disturbances occur during the current time of work.

KI Guest will be upgraded during monday morning and you may experience network disturbance.

On Thursday 2 December, starting after 7 pm, an update will be made of ki.se incl. education.ki.se, staff.ki.se, news.ki.se and kise-drupalkurs.ki.se. The websites will be accessible to visitors during the update.

On Monday, 2021-11-29, the deionized water will be shut off in parts of Neo.

Starting early in the morning (~6:00), deionized water will be off in sections 81xx, 83xx (the half towards 81xx), 75xx, 73xx (the half towards 75xx). This means northern half of 8th floor and southern half of 7th floor.

Hopefully it will be back on in the middle of the day, but it may take until the afternoon.

Regular tap water, cooling etc are NOT affected.

Right now, it does not work to take back the shopping cart from punchout in Chrome.

On 2021-11-11 we are planning an evacuation drill in Neo, around 13:30 (1:30 PM).
While there are still discussions regarding the details, please save the date and plan your work accordingly.

As of 7 October it is no longer possible to use account.ki.se to change the password to your student account. Instead you should go to myaccount.microsoft.com and update the password with the help of your Office365 login credentials.

FromOctober 1, you will no longer have to pre-book your visit.

Starting on 30 September, you need to use Microsoft’s Outlook app to be able to access your student email account directly on your smartphone or tablet. This change also affects you who read your student email on your computer via an email desktop client other than Microsoft Outlook. However, in case you can’t or don’t want to use the Outlook app, it will still be possible for you to forward your student email to your private email account or open your student email in your web browser.

Routines for support and services as MEB have changed a little after the restrictions were lifted and we now have a hybrid workplace at KI.

Akademiska hus extends free parking for staff with decals during Q4 2021. However, this does not apply to signposted or rented parkings for electric cars.

From Sep 6, we will use the MEB staff portal as our internal website.

During September the campus gyms will be open Monday - Sunday until 10 pm.

On Monday 23 August, the University Library's (KIB)'s new website will be launched.

The anti-plagiarism tool iThenticate is inoperable at the moment. We’re working to solve the problem as soon as possible.

During the period of 12 of July - 15 of August we have limited card handling due to staff shortages and holidays. In Flemingsberg, no card handling is possible during this period.

The weekend of June 25-27, 2021, NORDU.net will make a necessary upgrade of Kaltura (KI Play).

The work will begin on Friday June 25 at 2pm and will continue until Sunday June 27 at 1pm. While the upgrade is in progress, the Kaltura service will periodically be unavailable.



This means that KI Play will at times be down while the work is in progress. Media that are in KI Play will therefore not be shown on eg play.ki.se and in Canvas. It is also not possible to upload new media.

During the holidays, fraud attempts by criminals increase, as we often have replacements in our systems, and as a result can miss deviating emails.

Starting on Monday 21 of June, Akademiska hus will continue the work of replacing the facade glass panes on Aula Medica, as these panes unfortunately have begun to break.

On June 4th around 11:40 and 12:00 there will be a student graduation in Neo. Please avoid the entrance and the area between Neo and TAH at this time.

During the night between June 1st and 2nd, there will be a power shutdown in Neo. *** Please note that contrary to normal expectations, it is the power outlets that provide BACKUP power that will be UNPOWERED. ***

To make it easier for a visitor to understand which subject a certain page belongs to and where on the website they are, we are introducing a new mandatory function on a page. Each page must be linked to a page above it in the structure.

This weekend (May 21st - 23rd) there will be work done of the floor in the Neo lunchroom. Starting on Friday with removing furniture to prepare, but you can still enter and use the fridges, freezers and microwaves, as long as you are mindful of any indications that portions of the lunchroom is off limits.

During Saturday and Sunday the lunchroom is COMPLETELY off limit.

Due to the public holiday on Thursday the gym facilities are closed. Open as usual on Friday May 14!

On May 27th, between ca 08:00 and 12:00, there will be some work done to complement the evacuation alarms in some of the labs where it has been too difficult to hear. As a result of this, some audible alarms will be triggered for short periods during the morning and the delta repeaters throughout the building are likely to alarm from time to time.

On May 19th, the quarterly test and maintenance on the sprinkler system in Neo will take place. The work is expected to be done by lunchtime (~12) and we don't expect the audible alarm to be triggered.
