Several burglaries and thefts on Campus Solna
KI has problems with burglaries and thefts, which sometimes increase in number. We therefore want to remind you what we as employees and students can think of, to prevent burglary, vandalism and theft.
In recent times, there have been several burglaries on Campus Solna, including in the Scheel Laboratory and a building at Nobel's väg 16.
Burglary has taken place via windows that have been smashed and people who have sneaked into locked entrances, together with or behind people with authorization who have opened.
The thefts mainly concern laptops and IT equipment that have often been visible from the street, windows or via entrances. It can therefore be a good idea not to have laptops or other theft-prone equipment visible from the street, etc. if possible.
If we help each other and think about the following points, we can hopefully prevent theft:
- never leave your computer, phone, bag, etc. unattended
- do not hold the door open and let in strangers
- make sure no one sneaks in behind you when you pass a locked door / gate - ask for KI card alt. errand
- lock valuables
- visits must always be received by the person responsible for the visit
- wear your access card visibly
