Apply for DATAETHICS Winter School 2025

Are you studying medicine, biomedicine, or life sciences at KI and interested in the ethical, legal, and social dimensions of AI and big data?

Join the Eurolife DATAETHICS Winter School, 15–19 December 2025 in Obergurgl, Austria, for a 5-day course on “Social Justice, Legal Accountability, Bias, and Equity in AI and Biomedical Big Data.” Through expert-led lectures, workshops, and group sessions you will explore how emerging technologies shape fairness and inclusion in healthcare and research.

The Winter School offers a unique opportunity to:

  • Deepen your understanding of the ethical and societal dimensions of digital health and big data
  • Connect with and engage in lively discussions and problem-based learning with international experts and fellow students from across the Eurolife network
  • Earn a certificate and a DATAETHICS Open Badge.

Grant available for 3 KI students
The Eurolife DATAETHICS Winter School grant covers accommodation and participation fees for three selected students from Karolinska Institutet. Please note: Travel to and from the event must be arranged and funded by the participants themselves.

The Eurolife and DATAETHICS series of summer and winter schools focus on ethical dimensions of handling large (bio)medical data sets.
