Are you a student or doctoral student in medicine, biomedicine, and life sciences at KI? Do you want to learn more about and discuss the ethical dimensions of handling large data sets? Apply for this winter course to get the chance to explore the critical issues and innovative solutions shaping the future of biomedical research.
5 day-course in Austria
The course in Obergurgl and Innsbruck combines lectures and activities on the ethical, social, and legal aspects of digitalisation and data-driven development within Biomedical Big Data (BBD). You will listen to experts in data curation, privacy, ethics, and biomedicine, as well as network with students and experts from the Eurolife network and industry.
Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a certificate of participation and a DATAETHICS Open Badge for recognition of qualifications.

The Eurolife DATAETHICS Winter School grant covers the participation fee and accommodation for 3 participants from Karolinska Institutet, as well as transport from Obergurgl to Innsbruck for the conference on 19 December 2024. Note that travel costs to and from Innsbruck is not covered, these costs have to be covered by you.
The Eurolife and DATAETHICS series of summer and winter schools focus on ethical dimensions of handling large (bio)medical data sets.
