Lectures and seminars Beyond neuroreceptor quantification in psychiatry: Temporally high-resolution functional PET & molecular connectivity
Welcome to a lecture by Professor Rupert Lanzenberger.
Professor Rupert Lanzenberger is director of Neuroimaging labs (NIL) at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria. Professor Lanzenberger is among the top 1 % of scholars in serotonin research and he has published landmark papers on serotonergic treatment effects. Applying positron emission tomography (PET) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) he has examined the mechanism of action of different treatments for depression, such as Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors, electroconvulsive therapy, and ketamine, and put forward potential response prediction markers. Currently, professor Lanzenberger is applying functional PET and molecular connectivity to advance mechanistic research in the field of psychiatry.
