“Integrative Brain–Brown Fat–Microbiota Crosstalk in Metabolic Disease: Sex-Specific Effects on Metabolism and Cognition.”

We are honoured to host associate professor Andreza Fabro de Bem from the University of Brasília. The seminar has been organized with the support of NVS Head of Department Maria Ankarcrona.
Dr. Andreza Fabro de Bem: Associate professor at the Institute of Biological Sciences, University of Brasília (UnB), head of the Bioenergetics and Metabolism Laboratory (@LabdeBem), CNPq Research Productivity Fellow, and Affiliated Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences.
Her expertise integrates neuroscience, energy metabolism, mitochondrial bioenergetics, and redox biology, particularly investigating how metabolic disorders, such as obesity and hypercholesterolemia, affect the central nervous system through translational experimental models.
She coordinates an international cooperation project between Brazil, Sweden, and Switzerland, promoting collaborative research.
