Subscribe to important ethics newsletter free of charge

In today's complex world, ethical issues are particularly important. Marie Chenik, senior advisor, monitors a wide range of sources, including leading newspapers from around the world, to gather the latest news on ethics in areas ranging from politics and religion to healthcare. "The ethics newsletter" is distributed free of charge about four times a year to anyone interested in the subject. A report on the first 350 newsletters is now available.
Marie Chenik, senior advisor at the ethics unit of the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics at Karolinska Institutet had an idea. The idea was to monitor different communication channels and media to find, collect and quality assure news about ethics or news relevant to ethics.
The aim was to disseminate the most interesting news with an e-mail newsletter to engaged recipients throughout Sweden.
Marie Chenik works in a structured way to monitor, collect, sort, evaluate, quality assure, process and distribute the news on ethics. It is a solid work that requires a daily, continuous review.

"I do most of my research at home, using my tablet and a variety of newspapers I subscribe to. This can be done at any time of the day. The content of the newsletter is determined by the week's news in the media," explains Marie Chenik, who carries out the work on a completely voluntary basis.
"Every week, except during the summer, I am able to provide you with a collection of high-quality information on ethics, consisting of carefully selected and checked news."
Marie Chenik has a background as the ethics coordinator at Karolinska University Hospital, and a long-standing collaboration with Niels Lynøe and Niklas Juth, both researchers in ethics at the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics, She has also been awarded the prestigious Ethics Prize 2018 by the Swedish National Council on Medical Ethics.
New report on the newsletter
