Participants sought for studies Would you like support in losing weight using digital tools?
In the Better4All study we will test a new personalized approach for weight management combining lifestyle support with artificial intelligence and real-time monitoring tools.
You can participate if you:
- Are 18–65 years old.
- Have overweight or obesity according to body mass index (BMI), i.e. ≥25*.
- Own an Android phone.
- Can read and understand Swedish or English.
*Calculate your BMI by dividing your weight in kilograms with your height in meters squared (height multiplied by itself), i.e. BMI = kg / (m × m).
What does participation involve?
- A free 6-month lifestyle support programme for weight management.
- Providing biological samples (blood and stool).
- Using a Garmin smartwatch and mobile app to track lifestyle data.
- Completing short lifestyle and health questionnaires.
- Attending 5 visits with health professionals (one may be remote), plus one follow-up visit at 12 months.
You cannot participate if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, take medication promoting weight loss or increasing your weight or have a condition that prevents safe participation.
Practical details
• Location: Karolinska Institutet – Solna or Flemingsberg.
• Start: Beginning of March 2026.
As a thank you for your participation, you will receive three gift cards during the study period, with a total value of 600 SEK.
