Do you have an eating disorder involving binge eating and problems with your alcohol consumption? Are you aged 18–70? You can access the treatment wherever you live in Sweden.

The Stockholm Centre for Eating Disorders is investigating the effects of an integrated psychological treatment for eating disorders and alcohol problems. The treatment is based on cognitive behavioural therapy, CBT.

You may be eligible for the study if you are aged 18–70, have an eating disorder involving binge eating and have problems with your alcohol consumption. You must not currently be receiving treatment for either an eating disorder or alcohol problems.

Before you can take part, you will complete questionnaires and meet a study coordinator who will assess whether the study is suitable for you. This appointment can take place by video call or at the clinic. If you are eligible to take part, you will have the option of providing a blood sample. This is entirely voluntary.

The treatment lasts 15 weeks and is delivered through the digital healthcare platform Stöd och behandling, with support from a psychologist. You will work through the treatment programme each week and will need to set aside approximately two to four hours per week for the accompanying tasks.

You will complete questionnaires before and after treatment. During treatment, you will also be invited to take part in an interview about your experiences of the programme.
