Participants sought for studies Do you have a child with cerebral palsy who would like to meet other children and talk about participation in leisure activities?
Do you have a child (8–11 years old) who would like to meet other children with cerebral palsy and discuss what they would like to do in their free time, and what support has helped or could help them participate in activities where you live? We are seeking participants for creative workshops to increase equal access to leisure activities for children with cerebral palsy.

About the study
Children with cerebral palsy have the right to participate in leisure activities, which is fundamental to their health and well-being. Meaningful participation in leisure activities can promote their quality of life.
In this study (JÄMFRI – Equal Leisure for Children with Cerebral Palsy), we focus on factors affecting children's access to leisure activities to afterwards co-create a program that enables and promotes children's participation in leisure activities.
Who can participate?
To participate in the study, your child needs to:
- be between 8 and 11 years old
- have a diagnosis of cerebral palsy
- live in Akalla, Rinkeby, Tensta, Husby, Hässelby gård, Upplands Väsby, Rågsved Skärholmen, Vårberg, Vårby gård, Flemingsberg or Botkyrka
- be able to participate in four workshops together with other children (small groups)
How does the study work?
After you register your interest, we will contact you to book a time when your child and other children will meet at a central location in your area that is easy to get to. You will be invited to four workshops. Each workshop takes about 1 hour, and you can be in the room, or an assistant can also be there if needed. In the first part of the workshop, the children create art or paintings to visualize a theme (e.g., interests, obstacles, or opportunities, type of support), which is then presented and discussed in groups. We will have at least 2 leaders (occupational therapists) at each workshop.
