A research project is underway at Karolinska Institutet on parental mental health, parent-child bonding and co-parenting during pregnancy and the child's first year of life. To participate you need to:

  • be expecting a baby (recruitment is open throughout the pregnancy)
  • be 18 years or older
  • be willing to answer an online survey about cooperation and the relationship with the other parent, well-being and lifestyle habits in Swedish

How does the study work?

People who participate in the study will be asked to answer surveys.
The survey is about how you feel, your lifestyle and your relationship and cooperation with the other parent and takes about 15 minutes to complete.

You can choose whether you want to:

  • answer anonymously and only participate on one occasion
    OR
  • leave your email address and answer the surveys on three more occasions: when your child is about 3 months, 6 months and 12 months old (a total of four occasions including the pregnancy period).
If the other parent also wants to participate and agrees to you sharing their email address with us, you can do so in the link below.

What are the benefits of participating?

  • You contribute to increased knowledge about the mental health, bonding and co-parenting of expectant and new parents.
  • Your experiences can ultimately help develop better support and interventions for parents during pregnancy and the child's first year.
  • You get the opportunity to reflect on your well-being and everyday life during an important transition period.

Would you like to participate?
