Participants sought for studies Can we accurately estimate the number of nerve-muscle connections in your legs?
In this study we are looking for participants to test a new method to estimate nerve-muscle connections in the lower leg using safe electrical stimulation.

How does the study work?
You will be asked to visit Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge on 2 separate occasions within a week. Each session will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Sessions will involve brief electrical stimulations to a peripheral nerve in the legs. This technique is safe and has been reliably established for use in research. We will use sensors on your skin to measure the small electrical signals of your muscles.
The study aims to test the robustness of a novel method to estimate the number of nerve-muscle connections in the calf muscles.
Who can participate?
You may be eligible if you:
- Are 18-50 years old and free of pain
- Are not pregnant
- Have not been diagnosed with a neurological disorder
- Do not have a pacemaker fitted
Reimbursement
Participants will be given a SEK 300 gift card.
