There are many diabetes medications available today, but finding the right treatment for each individual is a major challenge.
Would you like to participate in a study investigating factors that influence treatment response and contribute to personalized treatment?

ETNICARE- Elucidating Targets for Novel Individualized Care in T2D, is a research project that aims to investigate which factors influence therapeutic response to different drugs. By collecting information on demographics, vital parameters, biomarkers and blood glucose as well as cardiovascular risk, we will be able to identify associations that may lead to ways of finding the right treatment for each individual already at the time of diagnosis.

Who can participate?

We are looking for you who:

  • have a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes
  • are between 16–65 years old
  • are resident in Södertälje / Botkyrka

What are the benefits of participating?

  • Contact with specialists and researchers 
  • More knowledge about how your body responds to treatment 
  • Regular follow-up of your health and a total of four visits to the research clinic at Södertälje Hospital over 2 years

To fill out the informed consent and thereby register for the study, click on the registration link. You will then be automatically sent to a questionnaire to fill out. Based on your answers, you will be contacted by a research nurse to book an appointment for a visit.
