Jonas Fuxe new professor of molecular pathology at Labmed
On 13 May, the KI President made the decision to appoint Jonas Fuxe as professor of molecular pathology at the Department of Laboratory Medicine. The appointment is valid from 1 June 1 2025.
“I am very excited and inspired to become a professor at KI and I look forward to developing our research and education in pathology in collaboration with all my fantastic colleagues in the coming years,” says Jonas Fuxe.
Jonas Fuxe is also head of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and research group leader. His research focuses on cellular plasticity as a link between chronic inflammation and cancer.
“Our research is about understanding the mechanisms that control how tumor cells change their identity and thereby acquire new properties that allow them to escape the immune system and metastasize."
