Study in brief

Worries related to pandemic and other global changes are in many cases justified given the current uncertain climate. However, worrisome thoughts may become dysfunctional and disproportionate and impact everyday life in a negative way. Previous research studies have indeed shown that the Covid pandemic may lead to increased levels of psychological distress.

Researchers at Karolinska Institutet have recently developed and evaluated a self-guided program for people with excessive worry in relation to these crises. The next step is to adapt this program to English and make it available for various expat populations living in Sweden. At the current stage,  the researchers aim to focus on expats from India who are currently living in Sweden.
