Participants sought for studies Do you have autism and are interested in mind reading?
Are you above 18 years of age and have been diagnosed with autism? Then you might be the one we are looking to include in a study above mind reading ability. In the study, you will sit in front of a computer and perform a number of tasks, while we measure reaction times and eye movements patterns. It takes a little bit over an hour, and the compensation is 198 kr (Huuray gift cards).

Who can participate?
- You are over 18 years old
- You have been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder
How does the study work?
- During a brief initial phone call, you will be interviewed by a study leader and asked, among other things, about your medical history.
- The study itself takes place at our facilities at the Department of Psychology at Karolinska Institutet in central Stockholm. In the study, you will sit in front of a computer and perform a number of tasks, while we measure reaction times and eye movements. The experiment takes just over 60 minutes in total. Compensation is 198 SEK in the form of Huuray gift cards (huuray.se).
Why is this research important?
Currently, there is a lack of knowledge about how the basic mechanisms of the social brain differ between neurotypical individuals and individuals with autism. Gaining more knowledge in this area can contribute to the development of new methods for understanding and facilitating social functioning differences associated with autism.
The study has been reviewed and approved by the Swedish Ethical Review Authority.
