Many menstruating people experience premenstrual symptoms that can affect their well-being and relationships with loved ones. The aim of this study is to deepen the understanding of partners’ experiences of menstruation, with a focus on premenstrual symptoms. By participating, you will help us learn more about how premenstrual symptoms affect the partner’s experiences, role, and needs. This can broaden knowledge about menstruation, which in turn may contribute to health-promoting measures.

Who can participate?

  • You are over 18 years old
  • You currently have, or have had, a partner who regularly experiences premenstrual symptoms, such as mood swings or low mood in the days before menstruation
  • The interview will take about 30–60 minutes

You will be interviewed by midwifery students in a one-on-one interview, either digitally or in a private location, depending on what suits you best. The results will be presented anonymously in an upcoming master’s thesis.

You are welcome to contact us for more information, questions, or if you would like to register your interest in participating.
