On Thursday 20 August the fire alarm system in Neo will be tested. During the test, sirens will sound, but you are not expected to evacuate.

During the summer, the Supply Center and other services have adjusted opening hours. For three weeks during the summer, the reception will be closed.

Patrik Magnusson and the vice heads of department will be responsible during different weeks this summer.

During the evening of Thursday, May 21, minor maintenance work will be carried out that may cause disruptions to all of our websites

Between 19:00 and 22:00 on May 21, 2026 during regular service window, we will be upgrading GoAnywhere.

This means that the following services will not be available:
MFT – Managed File Transfer (mft.ki.se)
SciShare (cirmft.ki.se)
VDI-Transfer (vditransfer.ki.se)
KI-DR (kidrmft.ki.se)

We estimate that all services will be back in service at 22:00 on May 21, 2026.

Over the weekend, the text-matching system Inspera Originality was down due to the security breach in Canvas.

Canvas was recently the target of a data breach in which data such as names, email addresses and the content of private messages was leaked.

There are currently issues with certain language settings on ki.se. As a result, some content is displayed in English when it should be in Swedish, particularly in certain headings, tabs and page headers.

The IT-office will rollback to the previous login process due to technical problems with Ladok, Edu-sign etc.
The change will take affect this afternoon approx. 14:30 hours.

Maintenance - KI RIMS on April, 16 (08:00-12:00).
Due to planned system maintenance, KI RIMS will not be available from 08:00 on April, 16. You will be able to log in after about an hour, but it may take until 12.00 before all functions are back to normal. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

During the evening 2026-04-07, we will perform maintenace on our storage platform. During this time, the service may experience reduced performance or become temporarily unavailable. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

During the Easter break week (week 15), work will be carried out to restore the Banting dining hall after a previous leakage. This will limit the use of the dining hall and access to the area during the work.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is now enabled for BioRender users covered by the joint KI-agreement and is being rolled out to users gradually upon login.

Maintenance work will be conducted on March 26, between 7-10 PM. This will affect och websites ki.se, news.ki.se, staff.ki.se and education.ki.se 

On the night of 23-24 March, Vattenfall will carry out a planned power outage. Several buildings will be affected, including Flemingsbergs centrum, Neo and TAH, and will be without power for approximately five hours.

The outage will last from Monday 23 March at approximately 23:00 to Tuesday 24 March at approximately 04:00. According to the information KI has received, ANA8 or the hospital will not be affected by the outage.

Work is progressing after the water leak in the roof of the Banting dining hall. Scaffolding has now been built along the facade and roof work will be carried out.

Planned Maintenace on KI Redcap on February, 12 (19:00-21:00)
IT will carry out a planned maintenance work on KI Redcap on February, 12. The service window is between 19:00 and 21:00.

This means that KI Redcap will be unavailable to all users during this time.

There is currently a bug in Fubas that makes text boxes duplicate when you (as course provider) enter text in the course syllabus.

There is a water leak from the ceiling in the Banting lunchroom in the Administration Building, where melting snow has caused water to penetrate through the roof.

For the time being, containers have been placed where the leakage has occurred, and Akademiska Hus together with their contractors Bitab and Ocab are reviewing the extent of the issue and what measures need to be taken.

MEB IT has compiled some instructions for common questions in this time of changes in our IT environment.

On Thursday, 13 November, starting after 7 p.m., an update will be made to ki.se, including medarbetare.ki.se, nyheter.ki.se and utbildning.ki.se. While the update is in progress, it will not be possible to log in and work in the web publishing system.

The power has been restored at Campus Solna and all systems are back online.
