During the Christmas and New Year holidays, FM Biomedicum will have changed opening hours.

MEB IT has compiled some instructions for common questions in this time of changes in our IT environment.

We have for this year’s Christmas collection decided to to support children in Sudan—many of whom face unimaginable hardship every day.

Help us to reach our goal to collect SEK 20 000! All donations, small and large, are welcome. We are keeping the collection open into the new year!

Fubas is still experiencing some operational disturbances at the moment which means we cannot transfer course occasions or course participants from Fubas to Ladok. Some e-mail notifications in the system may also be affected.

We will update this space as soon as the problems are resolved.

2025-12-19: we have now managed to transfer course participants for courses that start in January and beginning of February.

On Thursday, 13 November, starting after 7 p.m., an update will be made to ki.se, including medarbetare.ki.se, nyheter.ki.se and utbildning.ki.se. While the update is in progress, it will not be possible to log in and work in the web publishing system.

The power has been restored at Campus Solna and all systems are back online.

Currently, it is not possible to log in to KLARA.

On Thursday, October 23rd, starting after 7:00 PM, an update will be carried out on ki.se, including medarbetare.ki.se, nyheter.ki.se, and utbildning.ki.se. During the update, some downtime may occur, and it will not be possible to log in or work in the web publishing system.

A power outage in Biomedicum between approximately 2:20 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. (22/10) affected a data center in the building.
As a safety measure, parts of the center were shut down, which affected the website ki.se that was unavailable between 3:35 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The problem has now been resolved.

The IT department will continue to restore other affected systems during the evening.

On 20 November, at 07:00-12:00, the quarterly test and maintenance on the sprinkler system in Neo will take place.

Karolinska Institutet offers all employees fire safety training, that includes both theoretical and practical content. The fire safety training is mandatory for all KI staff and must be undertaken within 6 months from employment, and then repeated every 4:th years.

On Friday 19 September, between 13 and 14, there will be a test and maintenance on the fire detection and alarm system in Neo, including a mandatory evacuation drill, and we kindly ask you to participate in this potentially life-saving exercise.

The attack on the Microsoft SharePoint software reported in the media on 23 July has not affected KI. SharePoint and other Microsoft services are used at KI, but the installation solution that KI has has not been affected by the current attack.

2025-07-15 10:21 The operational disturbance has been resolved. It is now possible to place orders in Wisum.

We are currently experiencing a service disruption in Wisum. As a result, new orders are temporarily suspended. Troubleshooting is in progress.

Planned network maintenance on 8 July from 19:00 to 20:00. Short interruptions may occur.

On 8 July the hot water in Neo will be shut off due to urgent maintenance work. We ask you to plan your work accordingly, especially work carried out in the labs.

Update 2025-06-27 08:17: The service disruption has been resolved and the ability to print using EduPrint has been restored.

There is currently a service disruption with the provider that is affecting the ability to print using EduPrint. Troubleshooting is in progress.

Disruptions in Microsoft 365 Exchange Online

If you have invited external parties to collaborate in teams, you will shortly receive an email asking you to review these access permissions.

On Monday 26 May, starting at 18:30, the provider Artologik Survey & Report will conduct an update.

Blasting for new metro tracks and entrances began in 2020, and the blasting work is expected to be completed by early 2026. During 2025-2026, blasting for new metro tracks and entrances may affect instruments in Biomedicum that are sensitive to vibrations.
