The Autism Research Network at Karolinska Institutet (AutNetKI) warmly congratulates our member Miriam Martini on receiving an award from the International Society for Autism Research (INSAR) for her doctoral thesis.

The award was presented recently at the INSAR Annual Meeting, the world’s largest international conference dedicated to autism research. Each year, the conference brings together thousands of researchers, clinicians and other experts from across the globe. INSAR’s Recognition Awards highlight doctoral work that makes an important contribution to the field of autism research.

Miriam Martini completed her PhD at the department of medical epidemiology and biostatistics at Karolinska Institutet. In her thesis, she used large Swedish population registers to study autism from adolescence into young adulthood, with a focus on genetic factors, mental and physical health, and differences between women and men.
