In memory of Rudolf Rigler, 1936-2022
Prof. emeritus Rudolf “Rulle” Rigler, an excellent scientist in medical physics and long time member of the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics passed away on October 5, 86 years old.

Rulle was a medical doctor from Austria, obtaining his PhD with Torbjörn Caspersson at Karolinska Institutet in 1966, did a post doc with Manfred Eigen at the Max-Planck-Institut für biophysikalische Chemie in Göttingen, came back to Sweden in 1975 for continued research, and became professor in medical physics at Karolinska Institutet in 1985.
