Hannes Hagström at the Gastroenterology and Rheumatology Unit, Department of Medicine, Huddinge, receives the Rising Star Award 2024, from the United European Gastroenterology (UEG).

Hannes Hagström is one of ten awardees from around Europe, selected based on their track record of international quality research and developing scientific independence.
His current projects focus on the epidemiology of fatty liver disease (NAFLD), where he has been instrumental in creating some of the globally largest cohorts and has a wide international network.
