The Communications and Public Relations Office has appointed one communicator per office within the Professional Services. The communicators will help coordinate and strengthen PS’ communication, both within and between offices. By extension, this is a step towards improving internal communication and dialogue throughout KI.

The initiative stems from the needs identified during the reorganisation of the Professional Services (PS) that came into force on 1 January 2025, but also the assignment Strengthened internal communication at KI through increased clarity, coordination, and prioritisation within the prioritised focus area A. Increased dialogue and transparency.

Development of communication at different levels

The communicators act as overall support for each office. Prioritisation of needs is done in consultation with each office's management team. The communicators belong to the Communications and Public Relations Office and collaborate with other colleagues within the office to contribute both broader and deeper expertise in the communication support that each office needs.

"We want to develop a more coherent channel and communication structure within PS and throughout KI," says Katarina Brdarski, Head of Communications Coordination and Branding. "It's about creating the conditions for target group-adapted, proactive and coordinated communication, which supports both the organisation and KI's overall goals.”

The communicators' mission in brief

The tasks of the communicators include:

  • Take a holistic approach to each office’s communication.
  • Contribute to the coordination and clarity of internal and external messages.
  • Support in the planning and implementation of communication activities.
  • Act as a link between the Communications and Public Relations Office and the respective office.

The communicators are now building relations and getting to know the offices through dialogue with managers and staff and taking part of information on the Staff Portal, the offices’ operational plans and the rules of procedure, for example. Working methods will be tested and developed after the summer.
