Call for applications: Fieldwork and data collection stipend in South Africa for master's students

Master’s students can apply for a SASUF+ stipend of SEK 30,000 to support thesis-related fieldwork or data collection in South Africa. The programme strengthens research collaboration between Sweden and South Africa. Apply by 15 October 2026.

The South Africa-Sweden University Forum (SASUF+) is offering stipends to support thesis-related fieldwork or data collection in South Africa for master's students. The initiative aims to strengthen research collaboration between Sweden and South Africa while providing students with opportunities to collect data and materials for their degree projects.

The stipend may be used to cover expenses such as travel, accommodation, local transportation, and other fieldwork-related costs. For students at Swedish universities, the stipend amounts to SEK 30,000.

The application deadline is 15 October 2026.
