Dr. Fadini’s research activities are devoted to the basic and clinical study of chronic diabetic complications, stem cells in diabetes, and immune-inflammatory process in diabetes pathophysiology. In the field of clinical diabetes. Dr. Fadini runs studies using routinely accumulated clinical data on long term outcomes and real-world effectiveness of diabetes pharmacotherapy. He served as the chair of the research center of the Italian Diabetes Society, and is currently Associate Editor for Diabetologia, the official EASD journal. Dr. Fadini has published more than 400 articles in peer-review
journals, with H-index of 71.
