Katarina Bjelke
We are pleased to announce that the keynote speaker for the Doctoral Studies day 2026 is Katarina Bjelke, Director General of the Swedish Research Council since 2022. She has previously served as University Director at Karolinska Institutet and as Chair of the Board of the Swedish National Space Agency. Katarina is trained as a dentist and earned her PhD in neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet in 1997.
George Belibasakis
The days featured speaker is George Belibasakis, Professor of Clinical Oral Infection Biology at Karolinska Institutet. He serves as Head of the Division of Oral Health and Periodontology and Director of Research at the Department of Dental Medicine. Georgios Belibasakis has also been elected Vice President of the International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR).
