Ahmadreza Djalali receives SAR Courage to Think Award 2021
Researcher and KI alumnus Ahmadreza Djalali has been awarded the 2021 Courage to Think Award, from Scholars at Risk (SAR).

Ahmadreza Djalali is a Swedish citizen and a prominent researcher in disaster medicine who has been sentenced to death in Iran. He receives the award for his struggle for academic freedom and his connection to the international academic community.
Since Djalali is imprisoned in Iran, his wife, Vida Mehrannia, will receive the award on his behalf at the SAR virtual awards ceremony on 9 December.
