What will your main responsibilities be?

I will be working as an educational administrator for the KUL programme, and also together with Monica Ahlberg in the doctoral education.

Where are you coming from most recently?

I have worked in the education sector since 2013, covering everything from SFI to university level. Before I started working at KI, I worked at Södertörn University, where I was responsible for several courses and programmes in the field of law.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

What I am most looking forward to, apart from learning a great deal of new things, is getting to know the organisation and my colleagues. I enjoy working closely with people and look forward to being able to make everyday life easier by providing reliable and accessible support once I have settled into my duties. I also find it very inspiring to work here at KI, where education and research come together. I am equally excited about developing in my professional role and gradually growing into the responsibility

What do you prefer to do in your free time?

In the evenings, at weekends, and in any other free time, I most prefer to spend time with my family, which consists of my husband Manolo and our three children (Eric, 20, Jennifer, 16, and little Nicole, 7). Together, we have large families on both sides, which means you rarely sit alone or get bored. What we do depends a bit on the season, but during the colder months it’s mostly indoor activities with visits from cousins and shared dinners, while during the warmer months we try to make the most of the good weather by meeting outdoors for barbecues, swimming, and other fun activities.

Welcome to MedH, Jessica!
