Welcome Victor Hansson – new finance officer at Labmed
Victor started on February 16 and is a new finance officer in the Labmed Professional Services finance team.

You’ve been at KI before. Tell us a bit about what you did then.
Yes, that’s right! I have both been a student here in the dentistry program and later taught and supervised dental students in oral and maxillofacial surgery. It feels great to be back, but now in a completely new role. KI has been a central part of my professional journey, so it’s a bit like coming home - just from a different direction.
Why did you decide to study economics?
I’ve always been interested in economics. Already in high school, I chose to specialize in economics and mathematics, and economics has stayed in the back of my mind ever since. The choice feels absolutely right for me. Stepping into the role of finance officer now feels both exciting and rewarding.
What are you most looking forward to in your new job at Labmed, and how has it been so far?
I’m really looking forward to putting what I’ve studied into practice. There’s something special about moving from theory to reality. I’m also looking forward to getting to know my new colleagues better and seeing the organization from this perspective. There’s a lot to take in, but I’m also getting a very good introduction and support from my colleagues.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I’m married and have two children under five, so most of my free time is dedicated to family life. We love spending time in the Stockholm archipelago or on Åland where we have summer places. That usually means boating, exploring the local surroundings, and enjoying the quiet moments when they appear (even if they’re not that many with small children).
