Watch the recording from the Digital Introduction Ceremony 2021

On August 27th, new international students, students at the global programs, and exchange students at Karolinska Institutet were invited to a Digital Introduction Ceremony which was broadcast live from Aula Medica in Solna.

Close to 500 people followed the ceremony live. KI President Ole Petter Ottersen was on-site live to greet the new students with a welcoming speech. On-site was also the vice-chairman of the education committee, Rune Brautaset who greeted the international students by sharing some of his own experiences of coming as a foreigner to Sweden and gave his best study advice. The new students also got to know more about the various services and resources available at KI which can help them make their student lives easier and more enjoyable. There were many active viewers who asked questions via chat to the panel of students. The student panel shared their thoughts and experiences of being a student at KI. They all agreed that the time as a student can be both a bit stressful but also a lot of fun. Their tips to all the new students were to organize your studies and to be involved in the student life by engaging in the student unions’ activities for example.
