Unnur Valdimarsdóttir awarded from the ERC

Our guest professor Unnur Valdimarsdóttir has been awarded a Consolidator grant from the European Research Council (ERC) in the amount of 2 million euros for the project “Genetics of morbidity and survival after exposures to significant life stressors.“

Parts of the award will finance her studies on the genetics of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in Swedish tsunami survivors.
