The consultation period for KI-JL is open – get involved and make a difference

During the consultation period 5–22 March, researchers and employees at KI have the opportunity to influence the first proposal for KI's local level-graded journal list (KI-JL). All publishing researchers or researchers who are peer reviewers for journals are encouraged to participate in the consultation.
KI has a wide range of research subjects, and the aim is for all fields to be represented at all levels in KI-JL. It is possible to influence the levels that journals will have in KI-JL and to review the proposed list specifically based on your own areas and research subjects. If a journal is missing, you can suggest that it for inclusion.
The consultation responses are advisory and will be compiled and discussed by the KI-JL panel. The panel will make an overall assessment based on the proposal and the consultation responses received when they draw up their final proposal for decision by the Committee for Research.
As the publishing landscape is constantly changing, KI-JL will be revised once a year. KI researchers will be able to contribute through the recurring consultation period.
The panel will propose a final list to the Committee for Research for decision in April 2026, after which the list will be approved by the Faculty Board in May. After the Faculty Board's decision, the list will be made publicly available.
