Swedish Research Council grants nearly SEK 25 million to MBB researchers

Sex forskare på MBB får bidrag från Vetenskapsrådet.

Six MBB researchers have together been granted nearly SEK 25 million in project funds from the Swedish Research Council.

Within Medicine and Health, all funds have been granted for four years, from 2018 through 2021.

Proof of Concept in life sciences

The Swedish Research Council has also reached a decision on grants for Proof of Concept in life sciences. The purpose of these grants is to bridge the gap between basic research and the commercialisation of research results.

Ulf Eriksson, Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, receives a 1.2 million SEK grant for developing new pharmaceutical candidates for stroke, fibrosis and cancer.

Natural and Engineering Sciences

Roman Zubarev receives SEK 3.5 million from the Swedish Research Council’s grants for Natural and Engineering Sciences for the project “Ionisation, Protonation, Radicalization and Nonergodic Fragmentation of Gas-phase Protein Ions”.
