Swedish Cancer Society grants SEK 33,5 million to MedH researchers

We congratulate the ten researchers at MedH who have been awarded grants from the Swedish Cancer Society (Cancerfonden) for the period 2024-2026. Together, the MedH researchers are awarded grants of just over SEK 33 million.

Evren Alici, Hematology Unit/HERM
Title: iPSC-Derived Natural Killer Cell Therapies and modulation of host immune escape
Amount granted for 2024-2026: 2 400 000 SEK.

Annika Bergquist, Gastroenterology and Rheumatology Unit
Title: Studier av diagnostiska och prognostiska markörer och effekt av statinbehandling vid primär skleroserande kolangit – en premalign sjukdom.
Amount granted for 2024-2026: 3 000 000 SEK.

Niklas Björkström, Center for Infectious Medicine (CIM)
Title: Dissecting tissue resident lymphocyte homeostasis in human cancer.
Amount granted for  2024-2026: 4 500 000 SEK.

Yenan Bryceson, Hematology Unit/HERM
Title: Understanding and harnessing lymphocyte cytotoxicity against cancer.
