SSMF Postdoctoral grant awarded to BioNut
A researcher at the Department of Biosciences and Nutrition, Karolinska Institutet, has received the SSMF (Svenska Sällskapet för medicinsk forskning) postdoctoral grant of SEK 3 million for three years, for a project on "Anti-senescence Immunotherapy for the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis”.
We wish to congratulate Francesca Castoldi, at the Department of Biosciences and Nutrition (BioNut)! The SSMF potdoctoral grant is a three-year grant in medical science intended to give the recipients the opportunity to obtain qualifications to enable them to establish themselves as independent researchers.
In her project, "Anti-senescence Immunotherapy for the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis”, Francesca will elaborate innovative immunotherapy interventions to promote the elimination of pro-fibrotic senescent cells by host immune cells, with the ultimate purpose to improve the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis.
