Participants sought for studies Would you like to share your experience of abortion in a rural or remote area?
How is abortion experienced when healthcare services are far away? This qualitative interview study explores the abortion experiences of people living in rural and remote areas and examines how geographical distance affects both access to care and experiences of care. By increasing understanding, the study aims to contribute to more equitable and high-quality abortion care.
Who can participate?
You are 18 years of age or older and have had an abortion in Sweden. You feel yourself that you have had a long distance to travel to reach a healthcare facility that provides abortion care. By long distance, we generally mean more than an hour’s travel time, but it is your own experience of what constitutes a long distance which matters most.
Participation involves an interview of approximately one hour, conducted by phone or video call with a female interviewer. Your participation is completely confidential, meaning that nothing you say during the interview can be traced back to you.
