Update of ki.se on 27 August

On Thursday 27/8, starting after 19:00, an update will be carried out on ki.se, including medarbetare.ki.se, nyheter.ki.se and utbildning.ki.se. While the update is in progress, the website will be unavailable.

Tools for better content

The Editoria11y tool is now available on all pages. The tool helps editors identify common quality and accessibility issues, such as missing image captions or lists that have not been formatted correctly. It complements Silktide and can be used before the page is published.

The AI assistant for editors is available in the editor. Select the text you want help with, then choose a service from the drop-down list.

AI support for editors

With the new AI Assistant feature, editors can highlight text and get help with various types of processing, such as rewriting in line with the organisation’s tone of voice, spell-checking, summarising the text, editing text using a custom prompt, or generating text using a custom prompt.

Notification when pages are unpublished

When a page is unpublished, the editor can now notify the responsible editors of any published subpages. These editors will then receive an email informing them that the parent page has been unpublished and that the pages’ placement in the structure may need to be reviewed.

News and calendar

  • A bug that in some cases caused news items to appear twice in news lists has been fixed.
  • The issue with incorrect translations when selecting the type of calendar event, including “Avhandlingar”, has been corrected.
  • Editors can now once again see messages in the Revision log message field on news items. Please note that they are not visible in the news item itself, but as a comment in Revisions. 

Programmes and courses

  • The integration with LADOK has been improved. Information showing that a course instance is open for late applications is now displayed correctly when this is activated in LADOK. Publication and unpublication of application information now also follow LADOK’s date controls correctly.
  • The search function now includes an option for exact matching, for example to find all programmes with a specific name (such as “Kompletternade utbildning för…”)
  • The entire search result is now linked. 

Profile pages and group pages

  • Profile pages are now displayed without tabs when there is only one content section. The content is then shown directly, providing a simpler user experience.
  • It is now possible to print profile pages as formatted and readable PDF documents.
  • Group pages with a large number of publications could previously experience loading issues. This has now been resolved by loading publications progressively using the Show more function.

Technical platform update

  • The platform has been updated to Drupal version 11. The update includes a large number of technical improvements but does not involve any changes to editors’ day-to-day work.
