New Head of Unit for Faculty Unit for Education
On 2 February, Per Anders Nilsson Strandberg took up his post as Head of Unit for the Faculty Unit for Education. He comes most recently from Mälardalen University.
"I want to contribute to providing good support for education and research, which is our shared responsibility regardless of whether we belong to Professional services or core activities. It will be particularly enjoyable to work closely with two of the faculty board's committees and the associated vice-rector roles (future deans and pro-deans). But not least, all of our competent colleagues!", says Per Anders Nilsson Strandberg.
Faculty Unit for Education
The unit prepares and specifies the faculty's strategic and university-wide issues in the field of education. The Faculty Unit coordinates quality assurance work at all levels of education and is responsible for university-wide educational planning and follow-up. The unit provides operational support to KI's departments and programme committees in their work to develop the content and structure of education, as well as providing support in regulations and processes.
Adjusted names of units
From 1 January 2026, some unit names within the Educational Support Department have been adjusted. The units are now called:
- Faculty Unit for Education
- Education Office for Study Programmes in Medicine and Biomedicine
- Admissions and Graduation
- Student Recruitment and Alumni Relations
- Student Wellbeing Centre
- Executive and Professional Education Unit
- Educational Legal support and exam services
- Study Administration Unit
