Congratulations! What does this appointment mean to you?

Thank you! It is a recognition of many years of work, and an encouragement to continue developing both research and education.

What do you hope to achieve in your new role as Associate Professor?

I want to contribute to strengthening research on how AI can be used wisely in educational contexts, while also inspiring the next generation of students.

What projects are you currently working on?

My research focuses on student-centered learning in relation to emerging technologies, particularly generative AI, in different educational environments. We are studying, among other things, how AI can be used for personalization and student engagement, as well as its impact on psychological safety, well-being, and learning effectiveness.

In parallel, I am also involved in projects investigating the role of mitochondria in metabolic diseases.

How will you celebrate?

With family, colleagues, good food, and some bubbly.
