Konstantinos Ampatzis receives NARSAD Young Investigator Award 2017
Konstantinos Ampatzis, Assistant Professor at the Department of Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet, is one of "the promising young scientists with innovative ideas in mental health research" to receive the two year grant.
The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation's NARSAD Young Investigators Grant was initiated in 1987 to fund innovative, cutting-edge research projects relevant to serious brain and behavior disorders such as schizophrenia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders or child and adolescent mental illnesses.
The grant will enable Konstantinos Ampatzis to continue his work to better understand the underpinnings of autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) in the brain by studying a region called the cerebellum.
