KI’s Professor Anna Wedell elected to Swedish Government research committee
The Government has appointed a new research committee - a group of experts - to act as advisors prior to their upcoming Research and Innovation Policy Bill. KI researcher Anna Wedell is one of the fifteen elected members.
Anna Wedell is a Professor at KI and Senior Consultant at Karolinska University Hospital as well as Director of the Precision Medicine Center Karolinska.
“I feel honoured and very excited to be able to participate and influence the design of long-term strategies in the Government Research Policy,” comments Professor Wedell.
“I hope that the Government seriously wants to promote excellence and free research, and at the same time create opportunities for long-term commitments to join forces across medical science so we can take advantage of our bredth of competencies and become an even stronger actor on the international arena,” she states.
Appointments to the Committee last from 1 September 2023 till 30 September 2024.
