Many alumni attended the 2024 Alumni Day, with the opportunity to listen to the main guest and alumna Anna Sjöström Douagi, Deputy Director of the Nobel Foundation, member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and founder of the Young Academy of Sweden, who shared her experiences and perspectives from a rich and broad career.

This was done together with alumna Anna Wedell, professor at Karolinska Institutet in molecular medicine and surgery, chief physician at Karolinska University Hospital and director  of the Precision Medicine Centre Karolinska (PMCK), who shared her insights and research on precision medicine and its future potential.

The student choir Ascalpella offered wonderful ambiance and a highly skilled performance during the evening as they delivered a number of beautiful songs from the central stairway of the exhibition hall.

All guests also had a chance to hear more about The Cell from director Samira Boubana and curator Magdalena Tafvelin Heldner, as well as learning more about the art of artist and researcher Helen Pynor, and the collaboration between KI and the National Museum of Science and Technology.

The night ended at the Nobel Prize Museum, with alumni socializing, networking and enjoying exclusive access to the museum guides who offered detail and depth to the Nobel exhibition during the evening.
