Karolinska Institutet recruiting scholars in China

Robert Harris, Nailin Li and Luni Chen meet CSC leadership

In October 2019 a delegation from Karolinska Institutet visited China to recruit scholars.

A delegation from Karolinska Institutet led by prof Robert Harris, Academic Vice President for Doctoral Education took part in the China Scholarship Council (CSC) Fair in Beijing on October 19, 2019. Prof. Harris presented KI and the study opportunities through KI-CSC programme for Chinese scholars at the fair. The other participants of the delegation were Nailin Li, KI Academic Coordinator for China, Monika Berge, coordinator for KI-CSC programme, and Frank Chenfei Ning, doctoral student representative.

The delegation had also visited CSC and briefed CSC leadership about the recently completed survey on KI-CSC programme. The two sides are satisfied with the developments of KI-CSC programme and have discussed the future and potential improvements of the programme.

KI-CSC programme brings in competent students to KI, strengthens KI’s visibility and academic links in China, and will contribute to the enhanced internationalization of KI Strategy 2030.

KI Academic Coordinator for China, Nailin Li also gave a series of KI-CSC programme recruitment seminars at KI strategic partner universities in China, Peking University Health Science Center, Shandong University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University and Sun Yat-Sen University.

The KI delegation also met with KI alumni in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
