Karin Jensen new professor at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience

On July 1, 2023, research group leader Karin Jensen was employed as professor at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience (CNS).

Karin Jensen completed her PhD in 2009 at Karolinska Institutet (KI) and then worked at Harvard Medical School (USA) until 2014 when she returned to KI to establish her research group. Jensen has extensive research experience in pain and brain imaging, with particular expertise in the topic of placebo. She teaches cognitive neuroscience at the new medical program and also holds the role of Deputy Head of Department at the CNS Division of Neuro.

The employment decision as professor was made by President Annika Östman Wernerson in the presence of University Director Veronika Sundström after a presentation by HR specialist Ellen Tiala. Lovisa Hagenfeldt, president of the Medical Association, was also present.
