Juan Pablo Lopez receives the 2023 ECNP Rising Star Award

The European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) Rising Star Award honours two Early Career Scientists annually, whose research in applied and translational neuroscience has the potential to advance the science, treatment and prevention of brain disorders.

Juan Pablo Lopez, researcher at the Department of Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet, whose research aims to understand the neurobiology of stress-related psychiatric disorders and their treatments, is one of two 2023 award winners.

He will be honoured with a prize of EUR 2,000 and a commemorative certificate to be presented at the 36th ECNP Congress 2023. Dr. Lopez will also deliver an award talk as an expert at a Campfire Session titled “Increasing resolution in stress neurobiology”.

The Congress takes place between 7-10 October in Barcelona, Spain.
