Joint service organisation at KI Campus South

A working group, commissioned by the Dean of KI Campus South, has developed a proposal for a joint and unified service organisation for the research environments in ANA Futura and Neo. The new organisation will be named Facility Management South (FM South) and is scheduled to be in place by 1 January 2027.
KI Campus South is expanding, and its research environments require a service that is stable in the long term, of high quality, and cost-efficient.
Strengthening stability and long-term sustainability
At present, the two research environments in Flemingsberg, ANA Futura and Neo, operate separate service organisations. The Dean of KI Campus South has therefore tasked a working group with exploring the possibility of establishing a joint service organisation. The aim is to build on what works well today, strengthen stability and long-term sustainability, and improve the coordination of services and infrastructure.
The working group has now put forward a proposal for a new joint service organisation, FM South. The steering groups of ANA Futura and Neo support the proposal, and as a first step, a Director of FM South will be recruited. The Director will subsequently develop the new organisation based on the working group’s proposal, in close collaboration with the steering groups of ANA Futura and Neo. FM South is expected to be operational by 1 January 2027.
Improved support for operations
The new organisation will provide better opportunities to coordinate services, share resources, and develop common platforms. It will also be more efficient and less dependent on individual key personnel, resulting in enhanced support for core operations.
The working group:
- Jonas Fuxe (Head of Department, LabMed)
- Petter Höglund (Head of Department, MedH)
- Jenny Degerholm-Langsmo (Head of Administration, LabMed)
- Klas Karlsson (Head of Administration, MedH)
Adjunct members: Lars Frelin (manager, ANA Futura) and Elisabeth Raschperger (former manager, Neo)
